The Cliff — A Vertical World Survival Game
Most survival games take place across wide horizontal landscapes.
What if the entire world was vertical instead?
You wake up stranded on a tiny wooden platform bolted to the side of a cliff thousands of meters above the ground with nothing below you but death. No safe valleys. No flat ground to stand on. Just wind, height, and the constant reminder that gravity is not your friend.
You'll scavenge what you can from the rock face around you, build outward from your platform one precarious plank at a time, hunt the creatures that call the cliff home, and try to turn a tiny wooden ledge into something that might actually keep you alive.
The cliff doesn't hate you. It simply doesn't care if you fall.
[EXPERIMENTAL PROTOTYPE]
This prototype is still very early. I'm testing whether this concept is worth building into a full game. There's roughly 8 minutes of content to explore, but feel free to play as long as you like.
[SURVEY]
If you've finished playing, feel free to take this short 1 minute feedback survey. I'm trying to figure out if this cliff survival game idea and execution is strong enough before I keep going. Honest thoughts are genuinely appreciated!

Building Hints:
Cliff-attached platforms have maximum stability. The further you build outward, the less support your platforms have and will break if built too far out. To prevent this, make sure your platforms are connected to the cliff. (Similar to Valheim) Blue = most stable, Red = least stable.
[HELPFUL NOTES]
- The browser version currently has known lighting and shadow issues not present in the downloadable builds. Downloading is recommended for the best experience visually.
- If you build several hundred platforms on the browser version, the game may crash due to memory constrains (my test was ~800 platforms until it crashed). Downloading is recommended if you would like to build a lot.
- Just letting you know this is a very early experimental prototype for the game so there most likely will be bugs and the art kinda not the best right now. I'm just testing the core idea, the gameplay loop and if people find it appealing or not. All feedback is welcomed!
